Small and medium sized gardens with big characters! Perfect for extending entertaining space and creating areas for playing and lounging.
Gardens for relaxing, playing or simply being, designed to compliment the surrounding landscape and to reflect your own personal style. Larger gardens tend to evolve and are often worked on in stages, concentrating on one area at a time. Recent projects have included creating a dining area in a disused area of a garden with a water feature, fireplace and garden building.
Cercis, pittosporum, hydrangeas, tulips and alliums
Two Gold Medal winning gardens both designed by Darren Hawkes at the Chelsea Flower Show 2015 for Brewin Dolphin and at the Chelsea Flower Show 2017 for the Linklaters Garden for Maggie’s.
This garden was created for the science department of The Mall School. The garden includes a greenhouse, an insect hotel, a pond with a frog ramp, nesting boxes and raised beds which the children will use to grow flowers and vegetables. The planting on both sides of the garden includes a selection of monocotyledons and dicotyledons, the study of which forms part of the science syllabus.
